Visit to the Apiary
Visit to the Apiary of the "Dimora del Contorto"
"The Dimora is a place for romantic people who live in harmony with nature. The Dimora is a way of life."
The "Dimora del Contorto" is both a lodging and a real endless source of ideas. Here you will find Michela, a passionate owner and environmentalist, who will open the doors of her small kingdom to you.
You will be able to visit the lovely vegetable garden that, each season, gives its delicious fruits: fava beans, tomatoes, lemons, prickly pears, grapes and saffron.
Not to be missed is a visit to the apiary, where you will discover the little big world of bees, an insect indispensable for the survival of everyone on this earth and increasingly endangered.
In May, it is possible to take part in swarm collection, equipped with a suit. In all other periods, you can take part in honey extraction, if there is honey to collect.
The Dimora also has a tavern, the Bottega del Contorto, where there is an ancient loom that guests can use. In this charming location, it will be possible to taste local products, vegetables from the garden and honey.
